The CSE Bachelor’s Degree Thesis course is a capstone academic component of the undergraduate program in Economics. It is designed to enable students to apply the theoretical knowledge, analytical skills, and research competencies developed throughout their studies to an independent research project.
Within this course, students are required to identify a relevant economic problem, formulate research questions, and conduct a structured empirical or theoretical analysis using appropriate methodologies. The course emphasizes the development of critical thinking, academic writing, data analysis, and evidence-based reasoning.
Students will work under the supervision of an assigned academic advisor and will follow a systematic research process, including proposal development, literature review, data collection, methodological design, analysis, and final thesis writing.
The course aims to ensure that graduates demonstrate the ability to:
- Conduct independent academic research
- Apply economic theory to real-world issues
- Use quantitative and/or qualitative research methods
- Communicate findings in a clear and academically rigorous manner
Successful completion of the course requires submission of a written thesis and, where applicable, participation in a thesis defense.
