The course is designed to familiarize students with writing, editing, research, and design principles of technical and professional communication. Students will learn how to gather, organize, and present information effectively. Course includes: 

Business and technical documentation, including on-line tools; 

Oral reports and public speaking; 

Teamwork and participation in group meetings; 

Interviewing techniques; 

Use of visuals including presentation software tools to communicate material; 

Professional, ethical, legal, security, and social issues and responsibilities, including a respect for diversity; 

Research techniques using the library and the Internet.
