This course is an advanced graduate course in
macroeconomics. The focus of this
course is
empirical macroeconomics. Different seminal
papers will be analyzed during the classes, creating an opportunity for
discussion and providing students with the background to conduct an independent
research in the field of monetary theory and policy. The course provides a
sophisticated review of econometric methodologies commonly used to conduct
research in monetary theory and analyzes business cycles models and their
possible extensions.
