Introduction to evolutionary psychology aims at giving students general knowledge of evolutionary psychology as an overarching discipline in psychology. The course discusses theories that are currently most popular and important in the field. Starting from the theory of evolution it continues to frame traditional psychological topics, such as prosocial behaviour, emotions, personality and cognition, in this perspective. Essays, collaborative reading and group discussions enhance understanding the topics on a deeper level.
The moodle course is used for essay writing and taking midterm and final exams.
